Your breakfast will be a delight!
Home-made preserves and marmalades compliment Nick's home-made bread and all served in the dining area of the Lodge. We grind our coffee beans and we don't ill-treat the grounds, but instead, persuade them to yield their perfect flavour using a gentle filter method and a bit of patience. We also serve Yorkshire or Dilmah tea.
We try to apply a 50 km rule...
We know where your food comes from. For example, the milk on your cereal is from dairy cows at Lobethal owned by the Tweedvale Dairy which is just up the road. The bacon is from our local butcher and with mushrooms from Monato and tomatoes from the Adelaide Plains, (but in season we grow our own), we think that we can genuinely say that we shop locally. Oh, nearly forgot, your English pork recipe sausage. And we have the last word in honey ! We use unpasteurised raw honey straight from the bee. Last, but not least, the eggs are from our own free-to-range paddock hens (we keep Bond chooks) who always like a visit from guests. So check out the breakfast menu below!

Cooked BreakfastA hearty and surprisingly healthy way to start the day - your cooked breakfast menu includes your choice of grilled bacon, fresh poached or scrambled eggs, pork sausage, grilled tomato (home-grown in season) and sauté or grilled mushrooms. Also included is fruit juice, all sorts of cereals/muesli of your choice, toast, Nick's home-made bread, preserves and garden honey, Greek yogurt. Or your choice of boiled eggs with soldiers, English pancakes or a traditional creamy porridge.
